Today, instead of joining my Brothers and Sisters on the Parade route and raising a few pints in celebration of St Patrick's Day, I'm working day 2 of a 72 hour tour. Yea ... 3 days straight!

Talking about these situations in a classroom setting is one thing but getting "hands on" for actual experience is invaluable.

Here in "The Noke", we have a GREAT working relationship with our Brothers in Blue (Police Department). You never read it in our paper or see it on the news but we see a lot of shootings, stabbings and just general assaults. Having a good and trusting relationship between Fire/EMS and Police is crucial on these types of incidents.

Bill took issue with my use of the word "LUCKY". I'm not going to get into my beliefs ... luck, fate, evolution vs creation etc. I will say that Bill made a good point and I could have chosen a better word.

It's been exactly one month since Randy was assigned to "Lucky #13" and today, he caught his first fire.
