They knew our "reach" and the trust many of you put into what we do and say so they elected us to represent you. It was an HONOR for us to work with these folks and even more so to be ale to introduce you to them. If you've never heard of Demers Ambulance, NOW YOU HAVE!

Just like last year, The Fire Critic and I will be having another "meet up". This year, we have teamed up with several other groups / organizations to make the event even bigger and better than last years! I know ... you don't know how that can be possible but TRUST ME .... you will NOT want to miss this event!! This year, we are calling it The 2014 Firefighter Turnout and you wont want to miss it!

Now, they have to learn the details. The details of every aspect of the job ... an ever changing job at that. They have to build upon the foundation gained in Recruit school. They have to learn to carry the dedication and enthusiasm they maintained while in Recruit School throughout an entire career.

The show is open from 10am-5pm today and tomorrow. I'm not sure what our plans are after the show but know that we will be in the City. Stop by, say hello, get a demo and plan on hanging out afterwards.

For us, it's not so much about supporting Career vs. Volunteer; it's about supporting the Fire Service. It's about being PROFESSIONAL, doing the job and even more than that .... it's about DOING THE RIGHT THING. It's about supporting our Brothers and Sisters who are out there in the street day after day.... on the FRONT LINES of America sacrificing themselves and all that they have in the service of others. It's WHO WE ARE and a pay check will and can NOT define us.
