2015 South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo

with Chad FurrThe Fire Critic and I will be on the road again this week.

We should be easy to find Thursday – Sunday at the South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo (link) in Raleigh NC.

The Model City Firefighter (Andrew Catron), Bob Gard (Engine Co Apparel) , Gary Lembcke, Mike Parris and many more will be joining us …. we hope to see you as well!

On Thursday, you’ll find us at the BBQ Throw Down! Yea … once again The Fire Critic and I will be hauling our smoker down in an attempt to teach our NC Brothers and Sisters how to cook BBQ …. LMAO …. yea right!

All kidding aside, we will compete in the Throw Down again this year. We will be cooking / smoking around the clock Thursday evening / night. In the end, all the teams combined will have nearly 3,000 lbs of BBQ that attendees will be able to purchase during the day on Friday.

bbq_smallThere will be plenty to eat and drink in our cook site. Stop by and throw a little corn hole, have a beer or just sit around, relax and share in some good conversation. We hope to keep the site packed!

True to our form, our team slogan this year is “Honeybadger BBQ.. We smoke What We Want… When We Want To..” LMAO!!! We even have shirts and aprons available for purchase.

Speaking of merchandise / apparel for sale, Engine Co Apparel (link) will also be set up on the exhibition floor  in booth 411-412.

Rhett (The Fire Critic), Andrew (Model City Firefighter) and I will all be in the booth the entire weekend so be sure to stop by to say hello and check out everything Engine Co Apparel has to offer…. its the ONLY place you’ll find Captain Wines / Ironfiremen merchandise.

Friday night, we will be joining the Capitol Area FOOLS (link) at the Brotherhood Bash to be held at  Napper Tandy’s 410 Glenwood Ave!

TRUST ME …. You do NOT want to miss this event! Check out this drone video from last year’s Bash (Video by Matthew Cross).

Parade during the SAFR Expo 2013Saturday, we will be back in the booth before attending the Fire Truck Parade.

In the past, we’ve been asked to ride on a truck during the Parade so be sure to grab a good spot and look for us atop a rig.

Who knows …. we may even have some cool stuff to pass / throw out to those who spot / call us out!

Bottom line is this … If you are anywhere near Raleigh NC this week, you need to attend at least a small piece of this event. There is something here for everyone.  You also need to make sure you the find us … The BBQ Throw Down, Booth 411-412, The Brotherhood Bash or the Parade …. we’ll be easy to spot… SEE YOU THERE!

Be sure to follow along on Face Book as well …. we will have plenty of updates, pics etc.
