When I talk about "Take", Im talking about knowledge, experience, networking, friendships, ideas etc. What was your "take" from FDIC? I hope everyone who attends comes away with SOMETHING... if you didn't / don't, it's your own fault. I'm curious as to what it was for you (the "take").

We reminded them that beyond all the big red trucks, sirens etc was some of the latest technologies and innovations in the Fire Service (SCBAs, TICs, Turnout Gear etc). I mentioned that I had returned to duty and that decision or "step" in my healing process was as huge and difficult as any of the others I've made.

Rumors are ABUNDANT! We are hearing of a member having either resigned or haven been fired, a Captain on or off of administrative leave, inappropriate text messages, pornography, a DUI, revoked licenses, a picture of a moose with 2 assholes and even that there is no such thing as the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus! WTF? I wish I could elaborate more but apparently, a "gag order" has been issued and nobody can tell me exactly what it is that I'm not supposed to talk about.

I guess, in a way; we were able to show the men of Rescue 2 that the Brotherhood is alive and well... and not just in New York City. Knowing that a lot of you who donated were sacrificing something to do so (big or small) was very humbling. Again I say THANK YOU !
