Of course, that topic in itself is a HUGE debate within the Fire Service.... leave companies together of bust em up on a regular basis. Stay and learn your territory or bounce around and always be on edge? Become comfortable with your crew or work to fit in, find each other's work habits and find neutral ground? There are advantages and disadvantages to both ....Read More »

Again, I'll use the word "HEART". You can't teach what pushed Lt. Kelley (and fellow members) up those steps as "oceans and waves of flames" rolled over his (their) headRead More »
The difference a year makes … Firehouse Expo 2012
He suffered and fought through months of grueling rehab and recovery. In true Firefighter fashion, he showed the same heart and determination after the fire as he did while engulfed in flame. HE SURVIVED!Read More »
Taking "Brotherhood" to the FDNY and so much more …CONTINUED!
Firefighter Pete Mclaughlin was killed in The Line of Duty on October 8, 1995 just a week or so after our last ride with R4. He was caught in a flash over with collapse. Taking "Brotherhood" to the FDNY and so much more!
I guess, in a way; we were able to show the men of Rescue 2 that the Brotherhood is alive and well... and not just in New York City. Knowing that a lot of you who donated were sacrificing something to do so (big or small) was very humbling. Again I say THANK YOU !Read More »

Don't just remember these brave men today ( because of a 7 year "anniversary" ) remember them tomorrow, the day after that, the next, next and so on.Read More »
Paying it forward … an investment in Brotherhood!
The thing is ... you have to do more than just talk about Brotherhood, you have to act. You have to do something (ANYTHING..big or small) to make a positive impact on the Service and aid our fellow Brothers / Sisters. Rhett and I try to do so everyday. Zach founded and entire company on that principle.Read More »
Under staffed, attacks on our pension, a Close Call, 2nd alarms to rubbish fires…. Ironifremen.com is back on line!
We all need a room full of firefighter wives, girlfriends etc like " Suki " to fill council chambers etc every time they talk about, debate and consider budget cuts to Public Safety. And don't think for a minute that your Department budget or your pension is safe. Right now, my pension is under attack. It's been coming for some time now but it's just here recently that the majority of our members have "seen the light"Read More »
