To train, to stay healthy, physically fit and in the shape to do the job required of you. To keep motivated. To keep the discipline to push yourself to the "next level". To maintain a positive attitude.

Chief Billy was upset that he wasn't able to take us by their Fallen Firefighter Memorial before he ran out of time. We told him not to worry about it .... just give us the address and we'd be sure to stop by and visit it. NOPE ... that wouldn't due. He didn't want us to go to their memorial, he wanted to TAKE us ! When our recruits complete the acadamy, they are assigned to a company, placed on 1 years probation and have a detailed set of objectives to complete / pass within that year. They are assigned a "Rookie Book" which contains thoses objectives and are evaluated at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 month mark.
