First off, I need to say THANK YOU for all the Christmas cards, and messages I received. I personally read each of them and can tell you that they helped lift my spirits (sorry I haven't replied to them all) . I cried every day after coming home to see the fresh stack awaiting me on the kitchen counter. It is very humbling to know that so many of you out there are thinking and care so much about me and my family.

That's where I have a small problem ... I always have my helmets "blessed" before placing them into service and I've decided to ask our newly appointed Department Chaplin, Father Sandy Webb; to do it for me. We've actually spoken about it before so I'm sure he will, it's just that he's currently out of the Country.

I'm a little harder on helmets than Rhett. His job as a Lieutenant is primarily as the driver / operator. Unfortunately, that means he's in the street more often.

Once again, I have a ton of catching up to do. I think I warned ya before heading out to Orange County with the Roanoke Rampage...
