First off, I need to say THANK YOU for all the Christmas cards, and messages I received. I personally read each of them and can tell you that they helped lift my spirits (sorry I haven't replied to them all) . I cried every day after coming home to see the fresh stack awaiting me on the kitchen counter. It is very humbling to know that so many of you out there are thinking and care so much about me and my family.

It's too bad that many of the Brothers and Sisters here don't (can't or wont) see the benefit in that (as well as exactly what and why we do what we do). It's sad (and I know why it happens) but, more times than not; we're often the butt of jokes and/or smart ass comments here at home.

Captain Dillon is an "aggressive" firefighter who has seen more than his fair share of work. When he says it was a "hot" one, what he means is that it would have melted the paint off the gates of hell ...LOL.

We caught a small job at shift break this morning... we were coming on, B-Shift was going off. It's a hell of a way to start the day.

As a Company, we live, eat and play together. Because of that, we are united and that enables us to fight together (fire fighting). Now, we've added another level to our bond of Brotherhood and have attended Church together. We've prayed together and this past Sunday, even received Communion together.
