If you need proof for yourself that the NFE is not what it appears- this should do it: I have seen several new t-shirt campaigns launched by the National Firefighters Endowment via Teespring. On December 12th- I saw a new t-shirt campaign: “San Francisco Fire 49 Engine”. This was one of three I have seen Shane Parkins launch since we dissolved the Officers Club.

SO, I resigned my position that night. Bob Gard did as well. Rhett and Andrew stayed on because Shane promised some answers to the finances within two weeks. They (Rhett and Andrew) were our only remaining link to solving the puzzle of scam vs. poor management.

It’s not been a good time to linger around or visit Ironfiremen.com’s World Headquarters. For obvious reasons (at least obvious to the ones of you who follow the site), the past month or so has been a difficult time for me and I continue to struggle emotionally. I'm emotionally exhausted and ashamed to admit it. I'm ashamed because I've meet people here who have been through so much more yet they continue to survive. They continue to rebuild and push forward with a determination and strength that's humbling to witness.

I'll be meeting up with NFE President Shane Parkins and we will be delivering some much needed relief to our Brother and Sister firefighters down there who were affected by the EF5 Tornado that tore through their Moore back on May 20, 2013.

It's up to them to EARN that position ... nobody will "give" it to them. It takes dedication and heart and we can't teach either of them! Good luck to Recruit Class #16.
