I'm supposed to lead by example. You are too .... each of us.... no matter the years of experience or rank. I hope by posting this I am. It's surely another teaching point and quite possibly the most important lesson from the weekend. Clean and carcinogen free .... IT'S THE NEW "SALTY".

If you haven't heard or didn't know about Training Days, don't panic.... you still have time to sign up and there is still plenty of room (if not, we'll make room...LOL).Here's a brief overview of what will be offered...

Again... NOT something that many of the Brothers and Sisters in attendance get to do on a regular basis. This was a unique opportunity for many of them and it was provided by Valley Of The FOOLS!

GOOD LUCK and best wishes to Randy from his family at Station #13.... represent us well. Always remember the 3 things NEVER to fool with .... ( snakes, electricity and hookers with adams apples) and NEVER FORGET where ya came from.

Nobody is looking after the members anymore. It's not about the men ... it's all about the numbers. Yea ... we've heard so much about the "Culture of Extinguishment" vs. a "Culture of Safety" that we haven't even noticed the development of the Culture of "ME".

Rumors are ABUNDANT! We are hearing of a member having either resigned or haven been fired, a Captain on or off of administrative leave, inappropriate text messages, pornography, a DUI, revoked licenses, a picture of a moose with 2 assholes and even that there is no such thing as the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus! WTF? I wish I could elaborate more but apparently, a "gag order" has been issued and nobody can tell me exactly what it is that I'm not supposed to talk about.

Crews were able to locate one person dead inside the home. Further details of the fire, the name, age etc of the victim can not be released at this time. Notification of family members of the deceased are still pending and the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.

It's EASY to get this far .... hundreds if not thousands of members get this far. The "hard" part is "keeping fire in your life".... staying "Battle Ready". Keeping the desire to learn. To train, to stay healthy, physically fit and in the shape to do the job required of you. To keep motivated. To keep the discipline to push yourself to the "next level". To maintain a positive attitude.

The bus involved was not equipped with seat belts or safety restraints. Of the 39 students aboard, 13 were transported to local hospitals with what has been described as minor injuries. The call to 911 actually came from one of the on board students as the driver worked to remove others from the overturned vehicle.
