It's Not About Us, But Them: Videos of the Families at the NFFF Memorial Weekend

Rhett and I have been working behind the scenes at this year’s National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, but this isn’t meant to be about us. Instead, it’s a time to focus on the families, the survivors and the Brotherhood of the fire service.

This year it is especially important as the federal government shutdown had closed the entire National Fire Academy site. Thanks to hard work and some agreements from the various agencies involved, the families did get to see the site, if only for a brief moment.

Here are two videos from today’s events, a tribute to the fallen and the families.

    Willie and the rest -
It was a great pleasure (and fun, too) to work with you at the Memorial Weekend. I hope we can do it again next year.
