Turning Up the Heat at FDIC 2014!

It’s the one conference every firefighter should attend.  FDIC is April 7-12 this year…. will you be attending? YOU SHOULD BE! There will be over 70 classes presented by Elite Instructors (the BEST of the BEST), hundreds of exhibits filling both the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium and well as MANY, MANY more special events.

Once again, Rhett (aka The Fire Critic) and I will be there! We wouldn’t miss it for the world…. it’s one of our favorite events of the year!

Last year, we were able to do something at FDIC that we have been wanting (hoping) to do for years….. we hosted our very own “Meet Up”.

It was a HUGE success!! We rented a side room at the Hard Rock Cafe, bought some food and beverages and invited our friends, fans and followers. It was our way of saying THANK YOU for all the support you’ve shown us over the years.

Well, for FDIC 2014; we’re turning up the heat! We will be having another “meet up” but this year’s will be even bigger and better than last year’s! In the planning process, we quickly realized that the event was getting too big for us to handle alone. We didn’t hesitate at the chance to team up with Firefighter Wife (link) and Firefighters Worldwide (link) and our combined effort has since EXPLODED! This is going to be HUGE!!!!

We’re calling it the 2014 Firefighter Turnout! The event will be on Friday night (April 11th) from 5-11pm.

It will be an evening of camaraderie, food, drink, music, giveaways, contests, thousands of dollars in fire service prizes, the chance to meet popular fire bloggers & personalities & more! We have obtained a large venue (location close to the convention center and will be announced soon)  and will be sharing it with many of our closest friends, colleagues and fellow bloggers.
