It will be an evening of camaraderie, food, drink, music, giveaways, contests, thousands of dollars in fire service prizes, the chance to meet popular fire bloggers & personalities & more! We have obtained a large venue (location close to the convention center and will be announced soon) and will be sharing it with many of our closest friends, colleagues and fellow bloggers.

The only thing in NJ hotter than Amy last night was the fire we missed in Long Branch....

Here in "The Noke", we have a GREAT working relationship with our Brothers in Blue (Police Department). You never read it in our paper or see it on the news but we see a lot of shootings, stabbings and just general assaults. Having a good and trusting relationship between Fire/EMS and Police is crucial on these types of incidents.

Several of our members REALLY impressed me. It's been a long time since I've seen multiple members stand up and say what's on their mind.... what's on ALL OF OUR MINDS ! The second video in that above link to the Melrose Misfit was a toilet flushing ... THAT'S OUR MORALE ! It been there for a while.

Chief Billy was upset that he wasn't able to take us by their Fallen Firefighter Memorial before he ran out of time. We told him not to worry about it .... just give us the address and we'd be sure to stop by and visit it. NOPE ... that wouldn't due. He didn't want us to go to their memorial, he wanted to TAKE us ! THAT'S BROTHERHOOD .
